What Is Arabic?

This fact alone should suffice as a reason to learn Arabic, especially since this has been confirmed in the Quran:

إِنَّآ أَنزَلْنَـٰهُ قُرْءَٰنًا عَرَبِيًّۭا لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ Indeed, We have sent it down as an Arabic Qur’an that you might understand.”

The Quran was revealed in Arabic. Thus by learning this language, you will have a better appreciation for the Quran, its subtleties, and meaning. When a person recites Quran while being able to understand the words and verses, that person forms a deeper connection with the Quran. This not only helps in the reading of it but also in learning it. When you understand the words, it becomes easier to implement it into your daily life. When it is understood, you are forming a direct connection with Allah, as they are His words and commands.

وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا ٱلْقُرْءَانَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍۢ And We have certainly made the Qur’an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember?”

How Do I Learn Arabic as a beginner?


Learning Arabic requires patience and practice. You should learn how to speak first before learning to write. The key to language learning success is having the right resources and study materials Specifically, these methods need to work for you. Everyone is different, so make sure you choose a resource that is tailored to you.

So, how do you know the learning method you chose is effective? Well, if you enjoy it and you feel like you’re progressing, you made the right choice. Having fun is the most important part of learning a language.

There are a lot of ways to learn Arabic. Some are free, and some can also be very expensive. In the end, if the method works for you, it will be worth the investment. The cheapest and not very effective way to learn is to start speaking whenever possible. When you're out walking around town, try to talk to people who speak Arabic, even if you don't understand them. Start asking simple questions about where things are located, what time it is, etc.

  • Buy Arabic Text Books: This method is good if you are good at learning things by yourself. Read Quran with word to word meanings and translation can help alot too.

  • Learn arabic language Online: This is by far the best and most effective method. It has combined benefits from all the options above. There are several online courses available to choose from. How Can I Practice Speaking Arabic?

There are many ways to practice your Arabic. One of the easiest is to listen to audio lessons. There are plenty of websites that offer free audio lessons. Look for ones that have been translated into at least three languages, including Arabic. Another option is to find a local Arabic-speaking friend. Ask him or her for help. Also, watch movies and TV shows in Arabic. Most American films are subtitled in Arabic, so you can still follow along. Finally, check out the Arabic Online courses. Talking to your teachers or other students will be a great way to practice speaking arabic.


How Long Will It Take To Be Fluent In Arabic?

It takes years to truly master the Arabic language. But, you can get started right away. You don't need to be fluent to communicate. Just being able to comfortably exchange small phrases will give you a head start. The more you will keep practicing it by reading Quran with its meanings, the more fluent you will get.
